THEY FALL FAST is a short film that follows two awkward strangers - Eileen and Carlos - whose hike in the desert leads to a surprising destination that has the potential to either change or end their lives.

DIRECTOR BIO
Ed McCarthy is a writer, storyteller, and producer whose work has been screened in film festivals spanning twenty countries. He’s been a finalist in Film Independent’s Episodic Lab and in the Producers Guild of America’s “Make Your Mark” film competition. Ed has developed, produced, or created content for Condé Nast, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft Surface, and Dove (amongst other brands). An accomplished storyteller, Ed has appeared on various stages throughout Los Angeles. He’s won The Moth and has been featured on its weekly The Moth Radio Hour. Ed's award-winning short film, THEY FALL FAST is now available on the second season of Amazon Prime's "Discover Indie Film" series. Most recently, he was the line producer for the Gumption Pictures pilot “Work/Friends” and was the writers’ assistant for the first season of the USA Network / Netflix drama “Dare Me” and for the upcoming Amazon Prime drama "Paper Girls."
